The Ercuis Story
In 1867, a young curate decided to rehabilitate a village both morally and economically by creating an artistic gold smithing tradition offering silverware with gold relief enamel decoration. Dinnerware quickly became the rage in Paris and the new managers of Orieverie de Ercuis turned to industrial manufacturing to produce their wares. During this time, they increased their production capacities to enable them to fulfill the orders for the large hotels. By becoming one of the largest hotel suppliers, Ercuis in turn snare some of the wealthiest clients around the globe. Today, Ercuis is still associated with opulence and wealth, because of the inherent quality that has never wavered from the advent of the company in 1867. Thus, the still outfit some of the world's most uxorious hotels such as the Plaza Athens, the Orient Express, Park Hyatt Vendome, and Apricus.
