Anna Weatherly
As an international designer, Anna Weatherley's career has included designing and manufacturing couture fashion, jewelry, home furnishings, and printed textiles. In the early 1990's she established a studio in Budapest, Hungary where she trained a group of highly talented painters to create her collection of hand-painted porcelain. Hand-painted porcelain has a long tradition in Hungary going back almost two centuries. The artisans in Anna Weatherley's studio are trained in the classical painting tradition. Only the best painters are capable of mixing the colors and painting the delicate details of her designs. Each piece is not merely a pretty painted object, but also a work of art. Although her painters are trained in the traditional style, Anna Weatherley's designs are not classical porcelain patterns. Her designs are inspired by the early botanical illustrators and flower painters of the 18th Century Europe such as Redoute, Hooker, and Ehret. Dutch still-life paintings have also been a source of design inspiration. Ms. Weatherley's porcelain tulip collection is based on the work of Alexander Marshal whose rare paintings are preserved in the Royal Library of Windsor Castle.

Annie Glass
The Annie Glass Story

Annieglass, handcrafted sculptural glass dinnerware, serving pieces, drinkware and accessories, is designed by artist Ann Morhauser of Santa Cruz, California. The studio was founded in 1983 when Ann translated her love of ancient Italian relics into an abstracted modern design for a plate. A simple circle of transparent glass with a handpainted 24k gold rim, it was an instant hit in the tableware marketplace and is now a recognized industry icon. She titled the design Roman Antique, subsequently offering a variation with a platinum rim. Over the years, this signature pattern has been joined by a wealth of complementary styles. Imaginative, unexpected shapes inspired by the artist's oceanside locale -flowers, rocks, leaves, fish, boats, rippling water, rounded triangles, stars, and shells -are available in clear or frosted glass and in a palette of lush, tropical colors.

Product care and repair information

The first rule for caring for pewter is to use it; handling gives pewter its distinctive patina.

After each use hand wash your pewter in mild soapy water and dry with a soft cloth.

Do not put pewter in the dishwasher as hard detergents and excessive heat will cause discoloration and pitting of the metal.

Hand buff with a green Scotch-Brite type pad and use silver or brass polish to revive soft luster.

Scandia Down
Scandia Down

About Down Down is a natural substance and is the soft pumule found under the breast of geese and ducks. This pumule or cluster allows theses birds to withstand the coldest of weather. The highest quality white goose down comes from birds that are raised in colder climates and the size of the birds. Since down is a by-product of the food industry and the Unites States doesn't eat many geese or ducks, most of the down is imported from either Europe or the Orient. Scandia down only uses down from Europe because it is more mature, larger, better lofting, and more fully developed than the down originating in the Orient. This high quality goose down is the preferred choice in white bedding for its clean appearance and also for its lightweight and insulation properties. Scandia Down specializes in a multitude of different weights and styles to suit any climate or taste.

Cleaning Process At Scandia Down, they utilize a 12-step process that is unrivaled in the industry. It begins with Dust Removal, Sorting-separation of down from the feathers, Pre-wash dust removal, Washing-hot water and biodegradable soaps, Rinsing-a minimum of 7-10 rinsing cycles, Centrifuge-a spinning device that removes the excess moisture, Drying, Dust Removal, Cooling, Dust Removal, Ozonation-electrical charge that neutralizes any remaining impurities. Although about 30% of the product is lost because of this rigorous process, Scandia Down insists upon this cleaning process so you can be assured that you will receive the highest quality product available. Random tests have shown that Scandia's product is 300% cleaner than the U.S. specifications. Scandia Down' dedication to quality is unmatched in their pursuit of the finest quality materials and craftsmanship. They travel the world to locate the finest down and fabrics and then bring them all back to the United States to painstakingly craft the most luxurious bed accessories available to the consumer. Each piece comes with a certificate of quality and a lifetime warranty. This assures you that the quality of your product will be enjoyed for years to come.

Simon Pearce
It may come as a surprise to some that Simon Pearce is an actual person and not just a well-known custom trademark for high quality glassware and pottery. Raised in County Cork Ireland, Simon Pearce began his career in glass at the Royal College of Art in London and worked in some of Europe's most renowned glass houses. These wine glasses, martinis, pilsners, decanters, lamps, hurricanes, vases, bowls, candlesticks and cake plates feature an intricate, internal air twist. This is an old and nearly extinct technique in hand-blown glass design. Capturing such intricate air patterns within glass has largely vanished due to the skill required in its creation. Each piece in the Stratton Collection demands rare talent and precision by expert glassblowers. In fact, only a handful of Simon Pearce's 70+ artisans can create the Stratton designs. The first gather of glass is carefully spun and then crimped, using special tools made in our workshop. This creates air grooves in the warm glass that are then covered with a second gather, trapping the air inside. Next, the glassblower rhythmically manipulates the formation of air and glass to produce the internal air twist. Finally, the piece is removed from the pontil iron and cooled. The result is exceptional and the effect is exquisite.

Thymes
Smell, our most intense and enduring sense, is an important source for feelings of comfort, well-being, clarity and joy. In our Research and Development Laboratory, our perfumer spends her workdays developing fragrances that capture these feelings, so each collection will reward you with a unique sensory experience. She works as an artisan works, mixing blend after blend, to find a crisper note of citrus, the lushest-smelling lavender, a bergamot with just the right bloom. Our attention to these small details ensures that the fragrances you experience will always be complex, delightful and more than a little surprising. Working in concert with our perfumer, our highly qualified (and all female) chemists are intent on finding the exact combination of ingredients to make a product that's effective, beneficial, safe and responsible to use. We begin with botanical sources whenever possible, from suppliers who are responsible and concerned with maintaining a balance in the environment. In our formulations, we favor vegetable oils instead of those derived from petroleum and essential oils instead of synthetic fragrances. Two recent collections -Fresh Basil and Ginger Milk - contain organic extracts.

Our current lines are: Cedarwood Mint, Eucalyptus, Everyday Essentials, Fig Leaf, Filigree, Fresh Basil, Ginger Milk, Goldleaf, Green Tea, Lavender, Limon, Luminaria, Mandarin Coriander, Olive Leaf, Sleep Well, Bath Soaps and Fragrances.

Fremaux has produced fine linens since 1845-making us one of the longest continually operating textile manufacturers in France. The company draws its strength and skill from a hundred and sixty years of proud tradition, first as a manufacturer and now also as a worldwide distributor of fashionable linen collections for the home. Woven of natural fibers in the finest European tradition, the Yves Delorme collection is distinguished by the uncompromising quality and meticulous attention to detail that is the heritage of French couture. Soft hues and elegant florals and prints define this luxurious line, and it's Evelyne Julienne-our exclusive designer since the line was launched in 1989-who does the defining, creating fresh new looks season after season. In keeping with our fashion-forward approach, Yves Delorme presents a large collection every spring, and introduces several additional patterns in the fall. All of these must be worked out in various palettes, with an eye to international tastes. In recent years, the collection has expanded to include decorative accessories, fragrances, and furniture, encompassing not just bedding and bath, but a range of lifestyle products. As proof of its success, the company was elected to the Comit Colbert, an association of the most and prestigious French brands that represent a quintessentially French style of luxury and design.
